1.2 These terms ("User Terms") apply to your use of the website. By visiting and using the website, you are bound by the terms and conditions applicable to the website at any given time.
1.3 For users who register as members of Strawberry, in addition to the User Terms, the Strawberry membership terms apply, which you can find here.
1.4 Users undertake not to violate Norwegian law when using the website.
2. Changes to the website and user terms
2.1 To enhance your use of the website, Farris Bad may make changes to it.
2.2 Farris Bad reserves the right, without prior notice, to make improvements, changes, additions, or removal of information on the website that Farris Bad deems necessary. Furthermore, Farris Bad reserves the right to make changes to the User Terms. The current User Terms will be published on our website. By continuing to use the website after such changes have been published, you accept the changes.

Privacy Policy for Farris Bad
1. Introduction
We at Farris Bad process your personal data in various contexts, such as when you order services from us, stay at our hotels, use services we provide, and in some other contexts. In our privacy policy, you will find more information about our processing of personal data. Below you will also find contact information if you have questions or want to request access.
We process your personal data in accordance with the current Norwegian Personal Data Act, including the GDPR.
2. Data Controller for your personal data
Our company Farris Bad hotelldrift AS, org. no. 988 988 456, Fritzøe Brygge 2, Postboks 18, 3285 Larvik, tel. +47 33 19 60 00, email farrisbad@farrisbad.no is the data controller for the processing of personal data in our systems for booking, invoicing, and hotel operations. We are also the data controller for our marketing and sending emails from us to our customers and contacts.
3. Processing of personal data related to booking and stay
In connection with your bookings made by yourself or by others on your behalf, we process the personal data we need to fulfill the agreement on booking and purchasing services. This includes information you have provided directly to us or through a travel agency or agent. For example, we process information about your identity, your contact details, and your payment information. In some cases, we will store your passport number. In addition, we process other information you may have provided to us and that is relevant to your stay with us. This may include information about allergies or special requests for your stay. We record all purchases and orders you make with us, such as spa, restaurant, room service, etc., to provide such services and for you to pay for them.
We process this information as long as necessary to fulfill the booking agreement with you, and also as long as applicable laws or regulatory requirements require us to do so.
We log the use of key cards in our hotels. We do this to prevent and investigate crime, and for security reasons, including fire safety. We store the logs for 21 days.
4. Processing of personal data for marketing purposes
We do not disclose your personal information to third parties unless you have consented to this, or unless applicable laws, including the Personal Data Act and GDPR, valid government orders, or court orders allow or require us to do so.
For the record, we inform you that our use of data processors to process information on our behalf is not considered disclosure.
5. Processing of personal data for development, troubleshooting, and security
We will process data that includes personal information to troubleshoot and correct errors, improve our services and the technology we use, and to analyze usage and user behavior. Furthermore, we will process personal data to verify your identity, including verifying identity in connection with your use of our digital services.
We anonymize data or compile statistics as much as possible, but we will also need to process personal data for development, troubleshooting, statistics, and security purposes.
6. Processing of personal data for other purposes
If you contact our customer service or otherwise contact us with inquiries, we will process the personal information you provide as far as necessary to respond to and log your inquiry. The basis for this is legitimate interests or to fulfill agreements with you or respond to your inquiries.

You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of the personal information we process about you. You also have the right to request limited processing, object to the processing, and request data portability.

We will ask you to confirm your identity or provide additional information before allowing you to exercise your rights with us. We must do this to ensure that we only provide access to your personal information to you - and not to anyone pretending to be you.
9. Data Protection Officer
We are part of Strawberry, which has its own data protection officer. The data protection officer is the ombudsman for all hotels affiliated with Strawberry, including us.
Our ombudsman is our contact point for the Data Inspectorate.
Our ombudsman provides advice and guidance on the processing of personal data and the rules for this to all hotels in Strawberry, our data processors, and our employees. The ombudsman works to ensure our compliance with the rules for personal data and our internal guidelines.
Our ombudsman can also help you exercise your rights with us, or help you get answers to questions about your personal information with us.
If you believe that our processing of personal data does not comply with what we have described here or that we are otherwise violating data protection legislation, you can alternatively complain to the Data Inspectorate in Norway, or the supervisory authority in the country where you are staying at the hotel. 10. Cookies

Farris Bad aims to offer our customers the best possible hotel stay tailored to each guest's preferences and purchase history.
Based on legitimate interests, we will use information we have received from you about your room preferences (such as "ocean view" or "quiet room") and information about your purchases with us ("sparkling water" instead of "still water") to offer you a customized stay.
This information is collected based on your purchases with us and the preferences you express to our staff.

12. Changes in the privacy policy or processing
We continuously work on developing and improving our services for our customers. This may change the way or extent of our processing of personal data. The information we provide through this privacy policy will therefore be adjusted and updated irregularly. We will also change the privacy policy when new rules or government practices make it necessary.
