Deep Listening Sauna Session – Pink Floyd · Wish You Were Here
February 25, 2027 · 8:00 PM · Alda Sauna

On February 25, we invite you to a new deep listening sauna session, this time featuring one of rock history's most beloved and timeless albums: Pink Floyd – Wish You Were Here.

In the warmth of Alda Sauna, as the steam slowly fills the room and the body finds peace, we surrender to an album that speaks of presence and absence, friendship, loss, and the importance of staying connected to what truly matters.

When Wish You Were Here was released in 1975, Pink Floyd was at the height of their success. Yet, this is not a triumphant album. On the contrary, it is a deeply personal work, marked by reflections on fame, alienation, and the longing for their former bandmate Syd Barrett. Throughout the album runs a quiet yearning for authenticity in a world that often pulls us away from ourselves.

From the first notes of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, the album opens a space for reflection. The floating synthesizer textures, David Gilmour’s expressive guitar playing, and Richard Wright's atmospheric soundscapes create a feeling of both closeness and infinite distance. The title track Wish You Were Here has become a universal expression of longing, love, and the connection between people across generations.

In the enveloping warmth of the sauna, the music gains a unique depth.
The warmth softens the body.
The silence sharpens the attention.
And every guitar phrase, every soundscape, and every line of lyrics has room to sink deeper in.

This is an evening for reflection.
For memories.
For recognizing the value of the people who have left marks in our lives, whether they are near or far away.

Through the meditative flow of the album, we are invited to listen in a different way. Not only to the music, but also to the thoughts, feelings, and memories it evokes within us.
