During Aufguss NM 2026, Norway's top aufguss masters gather at Farris Bad to compete for the coveted spots that lead to participation in the World Championships finals in Germany and Norway.

In Farris Bad's spectacular event sauna Alda, which accommodates over 100 guests, you'll experience a packed program with some of the most impressive sauna shows to be found today.

With an international jury and guest aufguss masters of world-class caliber, the weekend offers sauna art at the highest level combined with Farris Bad's iconic sea bath and relaxing atmosphere.

What is Show Aufguss?

Show Aufguss is the sauna's answer to performing arts.

Here, a traditional aufguss ritual is transformed into a choreographed, theatrical, and multisensory show. Through heat, ethereal oils, music, light, costumes, and storytelling, the aufguss master creates an intense experience that engages both body and mind.

Each show lasts 10–15 minutes and can be inspired by film, history, or strong emotional themes.

This is entertainment and wellness in perfect balance.

Modern Classic Aufguss – the essence of aufguss

On Sunday, we return to the roots.

Modern Classic Aufguss is a pure competition form where the theatrical aspect is toned down, and the focus is on what really matters: good distribution of air and scents, proper heat buildup, and audience interaction.

This is aufguss in its most authentic form, simple, powerful, intensely relaxing, and deeply rooted in European sauna culture.
