At  Aufguss NM (Norwegian Championship) 2026, Norway’s top aufguss masters gather at Farris Bad to compete for the two coveted spots that will take them to this year’s World Championship finals in Germany and Norway.

In Farris Bad’s stunning event sauna “Alda”, which seats over 100 guests, you’ll experience an action-packed program of some of the most impressive sauna shows in the world.

With an international jury and guest aufguss masters of world-class caliber, this weekend combines high-level sauna artistry with Farris Bad’s iconic sea bathing and ultimate relaxation.

What is Show Aufguss?

Show Aufguss is sauna as performance art.

The traditional aufguss ritual transforms into a choreographed, theatrical, and multi-sensory experience. Masters use heat, essential oils, music, lights, costumes, and storytelling to create an intense, unforgettable experience for body and mind.

Each 10–15 minute performance can be inspired by film, history, or emotional narratives, turning the sauna into a captivating stage.

Modern Classic Aufguss is a refined, competitive format that focuses on the pure art of aufguss with precise towel techniques, carefully chosen essential oils, music that enhances the experience, genuine connection with the audience

This is aufguss at its most authentic, powerful, deeply relaxing, and rooted in European wellness tradition.
